What we collect

When you submit an application to Founders School, we collect the personal information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, mailing address, parent/guardian contact information, academic records (school, GPA, test scores), entrepreneurial experience, essay responses, and cognitive aptitude test results.

We also automatically collect your IP address and basic request metadata for rate limiting and security purposes.

How we use it

Your information is used solely to evaluate your application for admission to Founders School. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Who sees it

Your application data is accessible only to the Founders School admissions team. We use Supabase (hosted in the US) for data storage and Vercel for application hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy commitments.

Data on minors

Our applicants are typically under 18. We require parent/guardian contact information with every application. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not submit an application. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

Data retention

Application data is retained for the duration of the admissions cycle plus 12 months. After that period, data from unsuccessful applicants is permanently deleted. Enrolled students' data is retained as part of their student record.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at nat.eliason@alpha.school. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Application data is stored in an encrypted database with row-level security. Access is restricted to authenticated service accounts only.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
